Natural Teeth Whitening

Virginia Biological Dentistry offers immediate, in-office, professional teeth whitening, using all-natural ingredients.

A professional cleaning is recommended within 4-6 weeks, prior to the whitening treatment to ensure the teeth are whitened, and there are no bacteria covering the teeth.

The fluoride-free, whitening appointment consists of a custom shade match of your teeth, discussion of your goals and ideal shade, followed by careful isolation of the soft tissue, and a 60-minute whitening treatment.

The treatment utilizes an LED light or a laser, depending on your individual goals. The results are usually semi-permanent as the teeth are whitened from within using professional grade, cold sterile, 25% hydrogen peroxide. No fluoride and no UV used. Low maintenance is needed to keep your teeth white after the procedure.

If interested in the whitening procedure, please ask for a complimentary shade match at your next office visit!

Patients depend on having a white, healthy smile. However, not everyone has naturally white teeth. Due to genetics and stains that develop over time, patients may struggle with discolored teeth. One way to address this concern is with teeth whitening procedures and treatments. Dr. Olivia Hart of Glen Allen, offers several teeth whitening methods. The most commonly used treatment is at-home gel solutions. This is effective in removing superficial stains on the teeth and enhancing patient smiles quickly and easily with FDA-approved products.

Dr. Hart offers an at-home whitening method that is safe and effective for patients to utilize. At the dental office, Dr. Hart will fabricate a tray that fits precisely over the arches of the patient’s teeth. Then, the patient is given whitening gel that is used with the trays and worn at home. Depending on the severity of the stain and the dentist’s recommendations, patients may be advised to wear the trays anywhere from a half hour a day to overnight for the best results. Many patients report a marked improvement in the color of their enamel after several applications of the gel.

A new natural alternative to whitening your teeth and freshening your breath is now being offered at Virginia Biological Dentistry!

A low concentration of hydrogen peroxide is used thoroughly and gently to combat the bacteria that causes halitosis and gradually whitens your teeth.

Peroxide is natural to your body! It is made in your liver and is also in your white blood cells, which fight off infections. There are no contraindications of using hydrogen peroxide to fight halitosis and whiten teeth and it is even safe for our pregnant patients!

By wearing a custom made tray fabricated in our office and using the peroxide gel for 10-15 minutes up to three times a day, you can see dramatic improvements in the look of your teeth, without the harsh chemicals and side effects.

With a whiter, brighter smile, patients feel more confident and beautiful than ever before.
