As part of these efforts, Virginia Biological Dentistry works with BioComp Laboratories (BioComp) that was founded by Dr. Hal Huggins to provide our patients the information necessary to make the most informed decisions for their dental health. BioComp is a state-of-the-art, CLIA certified laboratory utilizing microplate technology as the cornerstone of their testing methodology. BioComp Labs promotes comprehensive healthcare and assists our office in assessing our patient’s needs by providing the best recommendations regarding which dental materials are most suited for our patients. In addition, BioComp Labs incorporates a three-tier model (least reactive, moderately reactive, and highly reactive) based on serum biocompatibility. BioComp’s mission is to improve the best outcome when supporting the patient’s immune system by identifying the most appropriate dental materials for the patient.
